O Lord; Lead me from dishonesty and falseness to truthfulness; guide me from darkness to the awareness and from the fear of death to the immortality. Let the peace exist everywhere…

Falseness to truthfulness

The universal truth is that all living being, Hindu scripture has mention of 8400 thousand yoni (living being) has to die and we cannot carry anything. We are surrounded by the myth that what we can claim ownership is mine and everything else is of someone else and in the race to acquire and make the feel of ownership, we commit the worldly act of greed, dishonesty and competition. There is no harm in competing for the cause which has been executed as per the humanitarian principles and guidelines. But, if we become greedy and conduct harmful acts because we want to own the worldly things for material pleasure that would be categorized as the act of dishonesty and falseness.

We must surrender our duties and responsibilities on the basis that it fulfills our purpose of living in the world and in the process do not harm anyone. We must learn to live life with the nature’s harmony.

PostHeaderIcon ॐ AUM

“The goal which all the Vedas declare, which all austerities aim at, and which men desire when they lead the life of continence … is Aum. This syllable Aum is indeed Brahman. Whosoever knows this syllable obtains all that he desires. This is the best support; this is the highest support. Whosoever knows this support is adored in the world of Brahma.” ~ Katha Upanishad I

The three words in AUM – A denotes the Creation (Brahma), U denotes Preservation (Vishnu) and M destruction (Shiva). While pronouncing the syllable AUM: A – should emerge from the throat, originating in the region of the navel U – should be rolled over from the tongue M – should end on the lips.  During the meditation process A – helps us waking, U – dreaming and M – sleeping. AUM is the sum and substance of all the words that can emanate from the human throat.

Patanjali yoga advises everyone to chant Aum for 2-3 minutes everyday to help prevent the diseases like insomnia, heart problem, loss of memory and enhancing the quality of sleep. Every morning sit straight, take deep breath and focus on your nostril while practicing the  Udgith Pranayam.

Aum also denotes the oneness of god.
